Los Rodeos airport - North
The traffic at Los Rodeos airport is mainly of the scheduled domestic nature, 53 percent of which are connecting flights to the other islands in the archipelago: Gran Canaria, La Palma, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, El Hierro and La Gomera.
It also connects via regular domestic traffic to other airports in the rest of Spain. The most important destination is Madrid-Barajas with more than a million passengers, followed by Barcelona, Seville, Bilbao, Girona and Malaga.
In 2010, the airport processed 4,051,155 passengers, 61,607 flight operations and 15,918 tonnes of cargo.
Reina Sofia airport - South
Situated to the south of the island, at the heart of the tourist area close to Granadilla de Abona.
Tenerife Sur Airport was inaugurated by Queen Sofía on 6 November 1978.
In its first year of operations, the airport handled over a million passengers. Tenerife Sur Airport is open 24 hours a day. Currently it offers more than a hundred connecting flights and it is busiest on Fridays and during the winter season. More than 150 companies work on the premises.
In 2010 a total of 7,359,150 passengers, 51,858 flights and 4,293 tonnes of cargo were handled.

To and around the airport Los Rodeos - North
Access to the airport is via the TF-5 motorway which links Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz, from where the road to the airport begins. A new access road has been constructed which is 2,900 metres long and has four lanes - two entry and two exit - for the exclusive use of users of airport facilities.
To and around the airport Reina Sofia - South
There is a direct access to Tenerife Sur Airport from the TF-1 motorway, which links Santa Cruz de Tenerife with the south, east and north of the island.
