PRIVATE GUIDED TOURS

MONUMENTAL SEVILLE

This is the most popular tour in Seville, as it includes the most significant highlights of the city: The Reales Alcázares (or Royal Palace) and the Cathedral. The Royal Palace is considered to be the oldest palace in Europe still in use. Inside, Moorish, Medieval and Renaissance styles live harmoniously together. Beautiful gardens resemble a botanic park.

Walking through the old Jewish Quarter, today´s Santa Cruz District, the tour leads you to the Cathedral, one of the largest in the world, with wonderful works of art and the burial place of Christopher Columbus and his son Hernando.

THE GOLDEN AGE OF SEVILLE – PRIVATE PALACESThis tour allows the visitor to become acquainted with an important period in the history of the Seville: the age of discovery when the trade with the Americas was controlled by the harbor of Seville. We visit two of the magnificent palaces built at the time: Pilate´s House, still inhabited by the Duchess of Medinaceli, where we can admire Moorish and Renaissance styles, courtyards, gardens and a wonderful collection of Greek and Roman sculptures.

At the Countess of Lebrija´s Palace, the visitor walks on authentic Roman mosaics brought form the neighboring Roman town of Italica. The walk between both palaces crosses one of the most vivid neighborhoods in town.

THE GOLDEN AGE OF SEVILLE – ART & RELIGION

This tour you will become acquainted with an important period in the history of the city: the age of discovery when trade with the Americas was controlled by the harbor of Seville. The tour leads us through el Arenal, the old harbor section, nowadays a trendy district in town.

It is in this district where the most important artists of the Golden Age worked to decorate the Charity Hospital, a beautiful piece of Baroque Art with important works by Murillo. The tour ends at the Hospital de los Venerables, in the old Jewish Quarter, formerly a home for retired priests. Its beautiful architecture and decoration are well worth a visit.

HIDDEN SEVILLA

More than 20 convents are still in function as such in Seville. In this tour you have the chance to visit the cloistered convent of Santa Paula, where the nuns make wonderful jams. This convent is located in an area of the city where hidden gems can be found: convents and churches along San Luis St tell you about the importance of this district in the past.

You will be impressed by the dramatic decoration in San Luis de los Franceses Church. At the Macarena Gate, survivor of the Moorish walls that used to surround the city, stands the Macarena Basilica where you will admire the most worshipped image of the Virgin Mary in Seville.

SEVILLA FROM THE RIVER

You board the river cruise that, for an hour, sails by important sites in Seville, including those of the 1929 and the 1992 World Fairs. It´s the best way to admire the interesting bridges over the river from the Quinto Centenario Bridge to Calatrava´s Alamillo Bridge and the Moorish built Golden Tower.

HORSE & CARRIAGE TOUR OF SEVILLE

A very pleasant way of touring the city. The best way to visit the highlights of the spectacular 1929 World Fair - including Maria Luisa Park, America Sq, Plaza de España Sq among other interesting sites in town.

FOLLOWING THE TRACKS OF CARMEN

Sevilla a magical place where time's most famous opera has taken place, "Carmen" A beautiful gypsy woman who lived in Triana and went every day across the bridge along the Guadalquivir River to the tobacco factory to work. This tour will follow her steps and walk you along this river and into the Triana area with narrow winding streets and white houses, flowers and hidden corners and squares full of poetry. This make you understand the strong feelings that arose between Don José and Carmen: passion, love and hatred to the tragic end at the bullfight arena.

MACARENA

This tour will take us to the neighborhood known as Macarena housing the Basilica of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza Macarena Our Lady of Hope Macarena, seat of the homonymous Holy Week brotherhood. The procession in the early morning of Good Friday is one of the largest, most popular, and fervent in the whole of Spain. In addition to the church visit we will also the museum of the brotherhood. A wonderful introduction to the Spanish Easter tradition.

EXPO 1992

This tour will take you to where the formar Expo ’92 was celebrated. This is a very interesting spot of the city a mingle of innovation and modern architecture where today is one of the most important technology and investigation centers in Seville.

SANTA CRUZ - JEWISH QUARTER

To finish we will go to get lost in the quarter of HOLY CROSS, the ancient Jewish and Arab quarter. This one still looks alike to these Spanish typical peoples, to the white lime houses, covered by flowers, where there hide the small secret squares full of poetry and where it seems that the time has stopped.

SEVILLE TRADITIONS

HOLY WEEK – EASTER HOLIDAY

The most important fiesta in Seville, a week full of joy. The Sevillian dresses up in their best flamenco dresses and celebrate the start of the Spring. The beautiful horse parades with horse carriages and men on horse in the morning makes a special atmosphere. Sing and dance and good food that is what it is all about.

SPRING FAIR

Holy week in Seville is a matter of tradition, and faith. The devotion to the virgin and the brotherhood’s preparations during a whole year for their procession to go into the Sevillian streets is the highlight for many Sevillians this week. Take part of this unique atmosphere in the city of Seville.
