CLIMATE

Seville has a mild Mediterranean climate, with warm, sunny summers and cool, mild, winters.

The hottest months are July and August, with temperatures sometimes reaching a high of 40°C and the coldest period is December and January with an approximate temperature around 5°C to 7°C.

ART, CULTURE & TRADITION

Seville has witnessed the passage of the most diverse civilizations. All leaving their memorable traces in the most interesting and exciting monuments.

The Tartessans, Romans and Muslims cultures all form an important part of Seville’s history which reached the height of Seville's splendor with the discovery of America.

During the 16th and 17th centuries, its port was one of the most important in Spain. The intense trading activity during this period gave rise to an urban layout filled with small palaces, noble houses, churches and convents.

Another important element in Seville’s culture and traditional history is the combination between the fine art of flamenco and bull fighting tradition. Seville’s bullfighting arena is among the most important in Spain, and the modern Flamenco Dance Museum is the key to access the magic world of flamenco dancing.

Seville's cuisine is a feast for the senses and can be reduced into one word “ tapas”.  Tapas can be defined as miniature meals which normally make you try a great variety of dishes in one single meal.  Aside from tapas, Seville's cuisine also has many simple but delicious recipes.
